MR362A FARMERS' PARTICIPATION IN QUALITY SCHEMES 2026

100% subsidy, up to €3,000

PURPOSE

Promote farmers’ participation in quality schemes under the CAP Strategic Plan
2023–2027 (hereinafter “PEPAC”), in accordance with the provisions applicable to rural development support
through the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.

AMOUNT OF THE GRANT

 

· The grant covers 100% of the costs, up to a maximum of €3,000 per year per farm, for a maximum of 5–
–years within the 7 years following the farmer’s entry into the program.

FEATURES

Applications are scored on a scale of up to 50 points based on the following criteria:
Type of adoption (up to 30 points):
o Organic farming or new directions: 30 points.
o Adoption of a PDO/PGI: 20 points.
o Other schemes: lower score.
      • Length of time in the scheme (5 points):
Awarded if the scheme is less than 15 years old.
Participation in multiple schemes (5 points).
Location in a mountain area (5 points).
Female holder (5 points).
      • Young owner (≤ 40 years old) (5 points).
Applications are ranked by score, and a minimum of 20 points is required for acceptance.
In the event of a tie, priority is given to:
• length of participationin the program.
• multiple participation.
• mountain area.
• women.
• youngpeople .
**If there is still a tie, the applications corresponding to the youngest applicantswill be selected .

BENEFICIARIES

Owners of agricultural holdings in Galicia (individuals or legal entities) registered with the Reaga, who:
• Are participating for the first time in an agri-food quality scheme, or
• Have joined within the last 5 years.
• In any case, they must be registered before the end of the eligible period
• In the case of organic production, new participation is also considered when:
• Farmers already in operation begin a new market-oriented organic production focus.
• This activity must have sufficient economic scale, exceeding the level of self-consumption
(according to the values established in the corresponding annex).

 

EXCLUDED:

• Entities classified as firms in difficulty
• Entities subject to a pending recovery order following a Commission decision that has
declared aid illegal and incompatible with the internal market.

ELIGIBLE EXPENSES:

Fixed costs for enrollment in a quality assurance program and annual participation fee, including the costs of
necessary external audits.
• Expenses from May 1, 2025, through April 30, 2026.

 

NON-ELIGIBLE EXPENSES:

Internal costs or self-assessment costs.

 

DEADLINES

APPLICATION PERIOD: FromApril 25, 2026, through 

May 22, 2026.

TIME LIMIT FOR SUBMITTING SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION: 10 days following notification of the request.

TYPE OF AID:  COMPETITIVE GRANT.
