Maximum Grant: 30,000 €

PURPOSE

To promote business continuity through generational succession, ensuring the business’s sustainability and preventing its closure due to a lack of succession. At the same time, to offer entrepreneurs the opportunity to take over the management of an established and financially viable business.

AMOUNTS OF AID

 

Self-employed individuals who transfer their business may receive:
• €6,000 if the business falls under Line 1: Rural Livestock Replacement Grant.
• €3,000 if the business falls under Line 2: General Livestock Replacement Grant.
In any case, this assistance is contingent upon the grant awarded to the primary beneficiary; therefore, it may not exceed
the amount awarded to the person taking over the business

CONDITIONS FOR ELIGIBLE HIRINGS

The price (excluding VAT) specified in the relief contract will be subsidized.

Requirements for the person transferring the business (must meet at least one of the following):

    • Be close to retirement age (62 or older).
    • To have been declared by Social Security to be in a state of total or absolute disability or severe disability.
    • To be the heir of the business owner(s) in the event of their death.

Obligations of the beneficiary:


    • Remain registered with the RETA and in the municipality where the activity will take place for a period of 3 years.
    •  Continue the same business activity for at least 1 year from the date the succession contract is signed.
    •  In the event of a transfer through the lease of premises or production facilities, the business must remain registered and active in the same locality for 3 years.

BENEFICIARIES

Self-employed individuals, professionals registered under the RETA or other self-employment schemes,
mutual benefit society members, and companies (including sole proprietorships and joint-ownership entities), with
tax domicile in Galicia.

Main business requirements.
• Be located in Galicia (registered office, tax domicile, and place of business).
• Have at least 5 years of uninterrupted operation and active business activity.
• Engage in the same business activity (same 3-digit CNAE code) and, generally speaking, operate from thesame premises and withinthe same municipality
.
No more than 12 months may have elapsed since the previous owner’s deregistration.
• Be registered with the Xunta de Galicia’s Business Succession Registry (with some exceptions).
• Be transferred via a transfer or sale agreement, with the price and purpose of the succession
clearly identified.

 Specific requirements:
For companies: the transferring party must have held more than 50% prior to the call for applications, and the
acquiring party must come to hold more than 50%.
• The transfer of ownership of the license or the notification of commencement of activity must be completed.
• The transferring party cannot be in active retirement at the time of the transfer.
• Administrative, financial, and operational capacity to comply with the grant requirements.
 Those transferring the business may also be designated as beneficiaries if they meet any of
these conditions:

• Approaching retirement age (62 years or older).
• Recognized permanent disability.
• Heirs of a deceased license holder ( within the following 12 months ).
Restrictions
• The same individual or company may only be a beneficiary once, even if they own multiple
businesses.
 Exclusions:
• Those who have already received the Remuda Grant in this or previous rounds.
• Self-employed individuals who are also corporate owners and apply for the grant twice for the same business (as an individual and
as a corporation).
• Transfers of business licenses.
• Transfers between spouses, domestic partners, or first-degree relatives when the
ascendant continues to be active in the business.

DEADLINES

APPLICATION PERIOD: From February 11, 2026, to September 30, 2026

PROJECT DURATION: From October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2026.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION: Two months from the date of the decision. No later than November 30, 2026
