ELIGIBLE EXPENSES

  1. Computer equipment (excluding cell phones and smartphones)
  2. Intangible assets: assets that have no physical or financial form, such as:

a. Ownership of or the right to use computer programs, including subscriptions to off-the-shelf software during the eligible period.

b. Costs associated with the creation and development of custom software.

c. Websites.

d. Patents, licenses, know-how, or other intellectual property rights.

e. Any other intangible asset that meets the definition.

3. Investments in energy efficiency: any purchase of products and installations that reduce energy consumption, such as upgrading lighting systems or replacing machinery and equipment.

4. Investments to replace fossil fuels or critical or scarce materials: replacing machinery or facilities that use fossil fuels with clean energy alternatives

5. Purchase of equipment and furniture: such as, for example.

a. Machinery, capital goods, or tools used to improve the production process.

b. Equipment and internal transportation.

c. Measures to protect the environment.

d. Furniture.

e. other capital goods

(Excluding decorations or ornaments, vehicles, aircraft, or similar items, and ships)

6. Renovation and fit-out of business premises:work that typically consists of repairs, decoration, or embellishments (including signage) that do not alter the structural integrity of the premises (including signage).

(Renovations to properties intended for rental as tourist accommodations, as defined in Article 5 of Decree 12/2017 of January 26, which establishes regulations for tourist apartments, tourist accommodations, and accommodations for tourist use in the
Autonomous Community of Galicia) 

7. Notary and/or registration fees: must be directly related to the subsidized activity and essential for its proper preparation or execution. (max. €300)

8. Rent expenses: These must correspond to the premises or workplace where the subsidized activity is carried out (Max. €600)

9. Used assets or equipment: The acquisition of assets belonging to an establishment or of used equipment will be eligible for subsidies provided they meet the following requirements:

    • The assets must be acquired from a third party unrelated to the purchaser.
    •  A statement by the seller regarding the origin of the goods and confirming that they were not the subject of any national or EU subsidy, and
    • The price must not exceed either the reference market value or the cost of similar new goods, and these facts must be substantiated by a certification from an independent appraiser or from a supplier of goods of the same type as the used goods being sold.

IMPORTANT!!! The assets subject to the investment must be acquired as the beneficiary’s property; for these purposes, renovations to rented properties are expressly permitted. If the assets are acquired through installment payment plans, they must become the full property of the beneficiary before the end of the project’s implementation period, and all deferred payments must be due and paid by that time.

 

BENEFICIARIES

a) Have a tax domicile in Galicia.

b) Self-employed individuals, members of mutual benefit societies, small and medium-sized enterprises, cooperative and worker-owned companies, as well as social integration enterprises and special employment centers.

IMPORTANT: Natural or legal persons that are spin-offs of other entities whose first registration in the corresponding public registry or enrollment in the RETA occurred prior to January 1, 2024, or that are a continuation of an activity previously carried out by another company or self-employed individual incorporated prior to January 1, 2024, will be excluded. For these purposes, continuity in the same economic activity shall be deemed to exist
when there is less than 3 between the end of one activity and the start of the next
months, and less than 3 months elapse between the termination of RETA coverage and the new enrollment.

c) Be registered as such in the relevant administrative registries of the Autonomous Community of Galicia.

d) To have filed, where applicable, the annual financial statements for the most recent fiscal year with the Commercial Registry or the Registry of Cooperatives, as appropriate for its legal form.

e) Have been incorporated or registered, depending on the legal status of the entity in question, and have commenced economic activity during the period from January 1, 2024, throughthe date of submission of the application.

f) Have the administrative, financial, and operational capacity to meet the conditions of the grant.

g) Be up to date on the payment of taxes and Social Security contributions in order to receive grants.

h) Not have been sanctioned by a final decision that results in the loss of eligibility for grants.

i) In the case of members of a professional mutual insurance association, a certificate from the professional association confirming membership, indicating whether or not such membership implies the practice of the profession; and a certificate from the professional association’s mutual insurance association indicating the periods of membership in said mutual insurance association, if applicable.

 

Exclusions: Applicants must not have been recipients in previous calls for applications.
